Is Adoption Still An Option?
As you consider your unplanned pregnancy options, especially adoption, you may come across the common use of the phrase “give up for adoption.” This phrase has become popular through media and is now practically synonymous with adoption. When choosing adoption for your baby, you are not “giving up.” You are giving them the opportunity to have the best life possible, full of opportunity and happiness. It means you are making a selfless decision to put your baby’s needs before your own. In other words, it means that you are a great parent.
If you feel parenting your newborn or young child is not the right option for you or you feel in your heart that another family is right for your child, you have several options.
We can help you develop an adoption plan. You can pick a family, meet them in advance of placement, have post placement communication with the adoptive family, and have the assurance that your baby’s needs are being met and will have a solid future.
Under the Safe Haven Law, a parent has the right to leave a child under the age of 7 days old at a hospital, fire station, or another Safe Haven designated drop off location without fear of prosecution. Heart of Adoptions Alliance, Inc. works with these centers to secure adoptive families or you can contact us before selecting Safe Haven as an option to create an adoption plan.

What You Need To Know About Adoption.
Yes, reasonable and pregnancy related expenses can be provided during the pregnancy and up to a maximum of 6 weeks following delivery.
Yes, we have profiles of many families, in state, out of state, and even internationally for you to look through to help you select the family that you feel is the best fit for you and your child. If you prefer, the agency can select the family for you as well.
It depends on your comfort level and what you are seeking from the adoptive family. It can include picture and letter updates, emails, or even annual visits. This is something you will discuss with your caseworker and we will help you find an adoptive family that is open to the same level of post-placement communication.
This is OK. The important thing is that you disclose what you do know and are open and honest with the caseworker so we can be sure all required steps are taken that are necessary to either locate and notify him or to show where we have done our due diligence to protect all involved in the process appropriately.
The adoptive family will cover the expenses for the adoption. You will not be responsible for any legal fees, counseling fees, and may be eligible for assistance with living expenses depending on your circumstances.

The positive aspects I experienced during my adoption process with this agency was everything I needed. Same for the questions, if there was anything I wanted to know about all I had to do was ask and I shortly received my answers. I loved the fact that with the agency I controlled what kind of family I wanted my child to be a part of.
I love logging onto Child Connect and waiting for my next update! I loved every bit of my experience during my baby’s adoption. I loved that the adoption agency found me exactly the family that I was hoping to find; they were everything I had dreamed of. I thought that when I gave my daughter up that I would be sad and unhappy, but I feel the exact opposite. I know that she is well being taken care of, and Heart of Adoptions is the reason why I go to bed happy every night.
I had such a good experience with you guys and it would be nice to recommend Heart of Adoptions to other girls looking for an agency to go through. Like I said, we found out about you from Dr. Dinsmore, so I know she gives your cards to her patients looking into adoption. Thanks again for everything.
I just wanted to say hello to you and let you know that one of the reasons I am in a better place (emotionally) is because of the help, love and support you provided to me during my difficult time.
I was scared, alone, pregnant, and had no clue what to do. All I knew was that I wanted the beautiful life I was carrying around to have an amazing life … a life I couldn’t give her. Heart of Adoptions made that possible for me. It changed me in so many ways for the better. The whole experience. It made me a stronger woman and I can’t thank you enough for that! Y’all helped me at a time in my life that was so scary. I love sharing my story because it’s truly the thing I’m most proud of doing in my life.
